Employers that have a human-focused workplace will experience positive employee retention, well-being and engagement effects, according to a new survey from social recognition solutions provider Globoforce.
How do you create a human-oriented workplace?
- Establish employee recognition programs: Workers who were recognized within the last month are more than twice as likely to believe leaders care about creating an employee-focused environment, according to Globoforce, compared to workers who had never been recognized.
The survey also found employee recognition increases job satisfaction and engagement; helps employees feel prouder of their work and strengthens their commitment to the company, potentially helping to boost employee retention.
- Build trust among employees and managers: Trust in senior leaders was found to have the biggest impact on company culture.
