Generally, U.S. small business employees are content, according to a new report from insurance provider Aflac: 84 percent say they’re happy in their current job, and nearly half attribute that happiness to working for a small business.
Sixty-seven percent said it makes them feel more appreciated; 54 percent felt working for a small business provided a greater sense of accomplishment and 52 percent said it made them feel more motivated.
However, nearly three-quarters of small business employees say an improvement in their company benefits offerings would make them happier — and 26 percent report benefits would be the main catalyst for them working for a larger organization.
