But they have nice work friends
Most Americans frequently work at high speeds or under tight deadlines, and one in four feel they have too little time to do their job — yet four out of five consistently view their job as meaningful, according to a new survey involving U.S. working conditions.
Some findings were positive: More than a half — 58 percent — of American workers described their boss as supportive, for example, and 56 percent said they’d made very good work friends through their job.
Other revelations were less upbeat. Nearly one in five American workers are exposed to a hostile or threatening social environment in the workplace, and just 38 percent say their job offers good prospects for career advancement.
